The Collecting Syndrome

Based on observation and re-occurrence, this has been noticed and its kind of repulsive to relate with the 'getting and spending' habit of young adults;

Its baffling that young people of this age rely so much on others, with little or no effort to do something substantive to earn a living or get a better life through proper planning and self reliance.

Most young people just don’t know how to save but are masters in spending. The question of how they should sustain an inflow, so that there'll be a source to spend from (since they love to spend) do not even cross their mind because they've been custom with 'living within the means of others'.

I have an aunt who works in Chevron and can give me whatever, my big brother is there for me, oh! daddy have so much money and can’t see me live in lack, Mother is always there for me whenever she gets money from her sales...
The question of how these people have worked so far to earn a living doesn’t even cross their mind, as long as something is still flowing, they are fine.

FACING REALITIES;
How do you explain an undergraduate Using phone so expensive, fifty, eighty and over a hundred thousand Naira worth of phones, phone that even the people sponsoring them through School are not using?
Why can't the thought of using that money to purchasing something that can earn them daily or monthly income cross their mind.
for example, instead of buying of phone of eighty thousand Naira (#80,000) and above, why not buy a Motorcycle, or Tricycle that'll be bringing in little sum each day?
But no! they will never think this way.

They prefer to constantly rely on other people who probably have  children, wife, their home to cater for, challenges to work through and still trying to meet up with all of these and 'yours' inclusive.
Nobody is saying you shouldn't be assisted financially but extorting others and living beyond your  financial capacity is not a good way to live. Make conscious effort to rule out the habit.
Oh! did i refer to this act as extortion? yes! because that is what it can develop to become.

Questions for you:
what are your responsibilities?
how many children are under your care?
whose bill are you paying; whose school fees, whose rent, whose daily meal are you taking care of?

If your answer is one or non other than yourself, then it's time to get your thoughts together and do something to secure your glorious future from failure.
