Ebola: RIP Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh

Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh is a true hero. A woman that saved millions of Nigerian lives in a selfless act, stood firm to contain Ebola in Nigeria even though she died in the process.

She is the Senior Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist at First Consultant Hospital in Lagos, she was one of the doctors that attended to Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian that brought Ebola to Nigeria. She refused to let Patrick Sawyer leave the hospital even when the Liberian Ambassador pressured her to release him.

Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh got infected with Ebola from Sawyer and lost the battle against Ebola yesterday evening, 19th August 2014. Your memory will live on, ma'am. Nigerians will NEVER forget you because you saved us. We love you and we pray God gives your family, your husband, your son the fortitude to bear this loss. Your soul will rest in perfect peace.
