PERMISSIVE

… and when God finally gives you His permissive will by letting you have exactly what you ‘thought’ you needed. Which of-course was just something you only desired to have.

Now, you have it after pressuring Him about it, yet you are feeling empty. why?
Could it be because what you asked and longed for wasn’t what you were given or because you are yet to have the exact thing that you truly need.

God doesn't want to give you what you 'think' you need but what He has for, which is what you actually need. We most times get this twisted, that's why we think He is either:
not faithful enough or 
He doesn't understand us.

How can you know what you actually need if you do not ask the one who knows and understand you better than yourself. The one who knows what the before was, the Now is and the after will become.
Instead of seeking His permissive will, permit Him to do His own will in your life.

Hint:
Go back to the drawing board and hand that drawing pen back to the Master of Architecture.

Your Name, A Key

What will be the first thing that trikes the mind when your name is mentioned? Think of it!

We sometimes think little things don't matter, as long as we are satisfying ourselves, feeding our ego and having our way, we are home and dry. who cares!
Get hurt, get played, get out and get lost are our theme for those who we intend to throw out of our way to score a point.

What strikes a person's mind when they see you today, can be same as what strikes their mind when they hear your name tomorrow.

A young innocent boy couldn't graduate with good grades, just because his father did something to someone years back, while he was still a lecturer. And as life would have it, that same person became his son's lecture latter in the future. *solve the puzzle

Some time in the 1980's, a top Manager in a particular organisation by name Mr John called in a young promising chap Joel to his office, showed Joel his promotion letter and tore the-same letter in both their presence.

He said to him: " Joel, you will never get a promotion."
Life again played out years down the line; Mr John the retiree got one of his sons a job at that same organisation. Mind you, Mr Joel is now a senior Staff and has the capacity to determine the future of any staff, as long as that organisation is concerned. *solve the puzzle.

The Conscience and Emotional Intelligence

Has any other person noticed what the conscience does to a man? Well...

Apart from the fact that it pricks one when one does things that are not right, It also makes one read meaning to things entirely different from what is intended. And to make matters worse, a guilty person can further personalize the innocent Words or Actions of others.

But do you know what?
The Scriptures says in Titus 1:15 "unto the pure, ALL things are pure but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their minds and conscience is defiled"
Now, come to think of it; the bible is so complete.

In summary, do not allow any body's word or action distract, disturb and still take you to HELL, it will be your loss not theirs. ‎ONLY God sees the INTENT of a man's heart, you DON'T and so quit thinking that every word or actions are directed at you.
Note: until you know the motive behind a person's action, your judgement may be wrong

The person you 'think' you have issues with might not even know it or must have forgotten about the whole thing and had since moved on with life, while you lie there holding grudges for no just reason, reading meaning where there should be non. 
This can cause you more harm than you think.

‎Here are SOLUTIONS, if you find yourself in this situation:
1. Clear your conscience by settling issues . You can humbly call the person involved and ask questions where you are not so clear or confused.

Sit Up! ... and Do The Right Thing

No body would want to leave decisions to the hands of those who will make a mess of it.

Most Young people do not exhibit the act of leadership but they sit and complain that the elderly ones have refused to give them charge over affairs.

I challenge every young person to wake up to responsibility:
Some other young people are at the hem of affairs in multinationals and some are just an admin in a whatsapp group.
Where do you belong and what is your vision?

Find The Lessons

We sometimes ask for the wrong things and mostly do this out of fear.

I could remember vividly how I hated driving under the rain, I would rather stay back, join someone else that could drive in the rain or go with a public bus.

This continued for a long time until one day I was out there heading for a state after Lagos State, feeling on top of my game while listening to worship music ( I love to worship).

The sunny Skye suddenly turned cloudy, darker and darker it got until I was forced to whisper prayers to God to please not allow the rain because I do not drive under rain and don't think I could do it at all.

As it started to drizzle (against my wish and prayers),

THE BRT LESSON

... and so, needed to hit Victoria Island of Lagos state Nigeria this morning before work...
'Lagocians' know the usual traffic saga as one of Eko's logo...lol
To beat traffic so I could meet up with my work time, I parked my car somewhere safe and joined a BRT bus since it's fully air conditioned and runs on a customized lane, makes it an easy way through (which of course turned out to be).

But here is the reason for this piece of writing>
On my way back, I learnt several lessons of which I am not in a hurry to forget, since I had to pay for the ticket before i could join the BRT bus (as normal). I was initially walking towards the ticketer's point at my own pace when i noticed a man from behind walking faster than normal so he could get ahead, pay before me and probably get a better space for seat since it was just this one bus on ground at the time.

BEYOND RECOGNITION

I was at a wedding and sitting next to me was this lady, all made_up and looking extra good. She smiled at me and said hello, I returned the gesture but I was kinda contemplating if I knew her from anywhere because apart from the fact that her face actually looked familiar, she was looking at me like one who was expecting something more.

She continued her greetings, as she asked futher:

"hello! How are you doing, how is this and how is that? 

 Hope u are good and bla...bla...bla... this young lady was all out at me.

Then again, she noticed I was just there and the "hello" i said was okay for me, since I wasn't sure if she was somebody I knew or she's just being friendly because we were sitting close to each other.

Few minutes later, after she noticed I did not reciprocate( i guess), she said: 

THE KING'S DECREE

The Angel rolled away the stone!

He didn't speak but 

1. There was an earthquake and 

2. The stone was rolled away.

what of if he has spoken? 

May be the entire world would have been rolled away... who knows! 

Not that Jesus couldn't push or command the stone to roll away by itself but for the fact that He is the King that every other king reports to, therefore he doesn't have to lift a finger or move a muscle for things to get done or undone. 

Yet this KING JESUS have given you an assurance in his WORD that by his stripes you are healed (Isaiah 53:5) 

And you doubt it by saying: "it is my usual sickness, oh! It runs in the family" 

please which family? 

Insincere Compliments

There are so many little thing we do and feel they don't matter or are not worth talking about,

Insincere Compliment is one of those little thing that we tend to also ignore.

The bible talks about taking away the little foxes that destroys the vine in Song of Solomon 2:15

Proverbs 20:19b the Bible warns us not to meddle with him that flatters with his lips*gtg*

Psalm 78:36 & 37 tells of those who even flatter God with their mouth, when their heart is far from what they say

Telling your colleague, subordinate or boss that their report, letters or presentation is in perfect arrangement even after you've notice there are one or two incorrect spellings that needs their attention, is an insincere compliment

The Collecting Syndrome

Based on observation and re-occurrence, this has been noticed and its kind of repulsive to relate with the 'getting and spending' habit of young adults;

Its baffling that young people of this age rely so much on others, with little or no effort to do something substantive to earn a living or get a better life through proper planning and self reliance.

Most young people just don’t know how to save but are masters in spending. The question of how they should sustain an inflow, so that there'll be a source to spend from (since they love to spend) do not even cross their mind because they've been custom with 'living within the means of others'. 

Stop Asking: 'Why me?'

... Social media encourages everyone to put up 'good' stuff. Good pictures, good status, wonderful dishes, nice places, fantastic houses, great cars, clothes and in summary, a perfect life. 

Do be tempted to challenge God with the kind of life that others are painting they live, because the truth is this: every single person have peculiar challenges and some have learnt to live their lives overcoming them. Stop beating yourself up in comparison. Instead, thank God for each day and be grateful for the life you've got. 

Struggle, hustle...

disappointment/ reappointment... 

TO BE AT THE TOP

The moment we hear the sentence 'being at the top', so many high positions crosses our minds making us to focus only on position and achievement of every other successful people that we know.

Now, see it this way; the TOP is not necessarily where a specific person is occupying in the business world but where individual have developed themselves to be. It could be the up-pest part of your Education, Career, Relationship, of your Strength, Knowledge and the rest.

ON THE JOB; Learn These:

Learn to take responsibility for your action

Admit your mistakes

Develop the habit of listening and

Learn also by observation.

ON THE JOB: Sustain That Zeal

That same Zeal you came with during your interview

That zeal that made you pass all test, both written and oral and got you the employment;

 carry it still as you do your daily duties after you have been employed.

Keep it going until you retire, change job or create one.

Let your employer feel the positive impact of your presence.

ON THE JOB: No Room for Excuse

Achieving the aim of your organisation should be of top priority to you, the interest in carrying out your duty should come before your personal feelings.

For example, It doesn't matter if you like or dislike the faces of your colleagues or supervisor, you are being paid to do a job, do it against all odd.

there should be NO ROOM FOR EXCUSE.
