They don't play aimlessly, 

Have a mission!
 DO NOT leave this year to run itself by saying: 'what will be will be', as this position will only make you an idle tool for others to use.
Set something that you will want to look back on at the end of 2017 and smile, Pat yourself and say: 'WELL-DONE'.

Take a look at the sea, as wide and deep has its shore. 
And so, your target should have boundary & time frame for the sake of Discipline and Performance measurement.
There are those who will try to discourage you from setting good and godly goals by telling you that all those things don't matter but I tell you; everybody have an opinion, some are useful while others are not and so, don't distract yourself with Discourage-rs, PRAISE SINGERS or CRITICS. Those who have nothing tangible to pursue are always busy trying to distract others who do.

If anyone tells you that so and so can not be done, tell them: 'LET ME TRY' there is no shame in failure as long as you don't quit.

NEVER live in 2016, its gone so forget it! EXCEPT you have one or two lessons to pick from there, don't go there. There is nothing as bad as holding onto yesterday and calling it 'the best'.

Keep a long distance away from those who are in the business of dragging you back with Issues that have long gone and should be forgotten. LIVE IN TODAY so that you don't ruin tomorrow.

Open your mind to new opportunities ...
Learn something new
Make new friends
Try new things
Set new Standards
Go places
Take reasonable risk
Encourage someone
Become a role Model
Maintain a joyful attitude
Believe in the best
And don't forget to Pray and Trust & Obey God.

Don't Pray alone without working and 
don't work alone without praying
Focus on God and concentrate on your target as you continue to move this year.
