There was this family of four, a father, mother, a girl & boy.
The Happy family were home at night;
the mother was in the kitchen,
father in the sitting room reading news papers with the little boy sitting by the father while the daughter was up and down the house playing.
All of a sudden the little girl screamed from her daddy's room
girl: haaaaaaaghhhhhh! daddy, daddy
little boy ran to meet mummy in the kitchen, while daddy rushed to his room where his daughter was. As he got closer to the door the little girl ran out screaming
girl: long lizard, daddy long lizard in the room
the father hurriedly closed the door firmly after his daughter as he carried her to her mum.
he said to his wife
father: honey that must be a snake in the room because our little girl said its long.
Mother: you should be right dear, please do something quickly
The father picked a gallon of chemical, poured it in his room and locked the door for 3 days with the thought that the snake should be dead in 3 days no matter its size.
After 3 days he opened his room door, only to find a dead Gecko on his bed, he still wondered around ignoring the Gecko and hoping to see a big dead snake but there was none. He later confirmed that the Gecko was what his little girl called 'long lizard' and so he laughed at himself.
The truth about the above story is that the father failed to pay a close attention to the words of his little girl because there was a description he didn't take note of , which is the part of the 'Lizard'.
If he had paid a closer attention to both words "long Lizard" instead of just picking "Long" alone, he would have not expressed so much fear which lasted 3 days.
On what do you focus? Most of us seeing positive and negative would choose to go for the negative, ignoring the positive.
what we pay much attention to is what we put in much energy to.
Make conscious effort not to focus on those things that'll demoralize or disestablish you. There are always two ways to a thing.
Think twice & Act Wise
Pay closer attention and listen carefully.
